Douglas Developments has enjoyed a long and distinguished history of community development throughout different areas in the Calgary and surrounding areas. We draw from our years of experience in a variety of collaborative community projects by working alongside other large developers and respected subcontractors since 1994.

West Strathmore Development Partner | Strathmore, AB |2007 – Present

Strathmore is “The Town where quality of life is a way of life.” This community is located 40 km east of Calgary and is continuously developing to continue to enhance the lives of their population of just over 13,000 residents. The focus of this community is built around enhancing the agricultural landscape as well as ensuring there is accessibility and convenience of modern amenities.

Cougar Ridge | Calgary, AB | 2005-Present

Cougar Ridge is in the southwest quadrant of Calgary. This portion of the city is known for closer access to and views of the picturesque mountain scenery. The developments in this area are often built near the natural reserve lands, which offer amazing views and an “out of the city” feel that is desirable to many.

Rainbow Falls Inc. Partner | Chestermere, AB | 2003 – 2018

Chestermere is a lake community approximately 10 minutes east of Calgary. Featuring a 650-acre lake found within rural Alberta allows for a unique escape into a community with a focus on offering many recreational activities partnered with a calming, relaxing atmosphere. Rainbow Falls is a highly sought-after area within Chestermere that offers many amenities, access to several schools, and features a variety of home styles to suit any size of family or stage of life. The added touch of several man-made creeks creates a unique and desirable environment within this community.

Keystone Court, West Springs | Calgary, AB | 2003 – 2008

Keystone Court is a boutique community within the district of West Springs. West Springs is a desirable area designed for luxury family living. Development of this community required working within the established framework of West Springs, while bringing a fresh and individual identity to life.

Coach Court | Calgary, AB | 2004 – 2004

Coach Court is another boutique community enclosed within the district of West Springs. West Springs is a desirable area designed for luxury family living. Development of this community required much consideration of the beautiful landscape of this area, and homes designed within this community were built to enhance these naturally divine properties which are surrounded by acreages and estates west of the city.

Lakeview Landing Partner | Chestermere, AB | 1999 – 2007

The City of Chestermere is an upscale lake community approximately 10 minutes east of Calgary. A man-made 650-acre lake at the heart of this resort-like community features many recreational activities partnered with a calming, relaxing atmosphere. Lakeview Landing is an established development on the west side of Chestermere Lake. This mature community is suitable for any family setup or stage of life.

Highwood Village Inc. Partner | High River, AB | 1995 – 2005

The Town of High River is a “People First Community”. Highwood Village is located on the northern edge of town and is considered a friendly, family atmosphere. The objective achieved in Highwood Village was to bring higher density living and affordability to country living.

Chesterview Estates | Chestermere, AB | 1992 – 1997

Chesterview was an early development of Chestermere, in which Douglas Homes, the parent company of Douglas Developments, was a large part of developing the selection of large single-family homes. Early development in Chestermere grew from a vision for a community of low density amply portioned lots. Many homes in this area have a location that allows for a water view, and a short walk to the lake.
